For example, our roofs are made from sustainably sourced Makuti palm leaves. This provides a natural cooling effect, and our water heaters are solar-powered.
We specifically chose the Camp’s location for its replenishing natural water springs around the Camp. The spring water is fresh from the Chyulu Hills, bottled, and served to our guests. The springs act as an oasis for wildlife and birdlife; as the Camp is unfenced, animals are free to roam, as they have done for centuries.
The dining experiences at Finch Hattons are legendary! We only use the freshest, locally sourced and organically grown ingredients to complement our ethos of environmental consciousness. Grass-fed beef, fresh fruit, vegetables and fresh seafood delivered directly to the Camp from Kenya’s Coast are examples of what you will find at the table.
